Planting for the Central Peninsula Church
The Central Peninsula Church <CPC> has had a close relationship with Troop 175 for some time. The CPC hosts all of our Courts of Honors, as well as many of our other meetings. To give back to the CPC for their kindness, I have elected to renovate a certain area of the church, namely a patch of land surrounding one of the main entrances.
Currently, the land is almost barren. A few sparse plants lay randomly and without rhyme, many of them dead. A thin layer of mulch covers the ground, thin enough you can almost see the sandy dirt beneath it. I would much prefer their entrance to reflect how kind, warm, and welcoming the CPC is.
With the help of Troop Volunteers, I will be planting almost 90 plants in the area, covering 2,081 square feet. It will be featuring gorgeous shrubs such as the Indian Hawthorn or Lantana, complete with near-total ground cover via the Scaevola plant.
However, plants are very expensive, to the point where I've decided on a $2,500 budget for this project, a sum I cannot come up with alone. As such, I want to ask for your help financing. Any amount you can contribute is very deeply appreciated, and will go a long way.
Thank you so much<3
